About Laura Chappell
I first experienced the field of complimentary therapies in 2006, when my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She turned to Reiki and Reflexology in an attempt to ease both the symptoms of the disease and the harsh effects of her treatment. I could see the benefits her sessions had on her, not only physically but also psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. The whole process of her dying seemed more peaceful.
Soon after my mother passed away, I trained in Reiki. I attained my Master/Teachers quickly, having found both a passion and a gift for the art. A year ago I chose to further my knowledge of the body, taking a course in Holistic Massage. The information on anatomy and physiology which I have attained greatly benefits my Reiki treatments.
My love of children has brought me full circle leading me to add both Pregnancy Massage and Baby Massage to the therapies I offer. Facial Reflexology, a new direction I have taken of the therapy introduced to me by my mother.
I rarely use any of the therapies in complete isolation, Reiki working extremely well with both Massage and Facial Reflexology. My knowledge from each course, combined to maximise every treatment given the clients under my care.

The Karma Practice
The true meaning of Karma is often mistaken, many believing it to be a form of ‘Cosmic Justice’, where wrongful acts incur just punishment.
Karma, by Buddha’s understanding, delves deeper than this, to the motives that lie behind an act - an outcome, defined to be wrong but with best will at its heart, will evoke good Karma.
The sheer nature of a therapeutic treatment is to heal, to aid the body’s natural ability to cure itself thus rebalance internal equilibrium.
‘The Karma Practice’ is my code, a guide that conducts my ethics as a complimentary therapist. The holistic benefits of the therapies I provide are enhanced by my inherent desire to heal others.
